Triangle Rona Survive Gordon Head Evening Optimist Comeback and Win
Extra Inning Thriller!
After leading 6-1, Triangle Rona saw the Gordon Head Evening
Optimists battle back to tie the game at 6 and send it to extra innings before
escaping with an 8-6 win at Wilf Sadler field in Gordon Head. Triangle had a
chance to push ahead in the top of the 6th, but a heads up play by the Gordon
Head pitcher on a wild pitch cut down the runner trying to score from third for
the final out in the inning. After holding the Optimists scoreless in the bottom
of the 6th, Triangle then pushed two runs across in the top of the 7th to jump
ahead. The Optimists were not finished though and loaded the bases, but
could not push a run across as the final exciting out was made at home plate
when a Gordon Head runner tried to score on a wild pitch.

to victory in the Pee Wee championship game played at Juan de Fuca. The
Cardinals mustered 2 runs in the top of the 5th to pull within 1 at 7-6, but
that is as close as they would come as Triangle closer Brandon Feldman shut them
