Eagles and Pirates Split Canada Day Double-Header

The Victoria Eagles hosted the Nanaimo Pirates Sunday in a Canada Day BC Premier Baseball League double-header at Lambrick Park, with the Eagles winning game one 9-3 and the Pirates taking game two 11-8. Kurt Horne would be the victor in Game 1 as the Eagles scored 4 runs in each of the 5th and 6th innings to prevail.
