Eagles Fall in Home Opener to Whalley and Mother Nature

The Victoria Eagles opened their 2013 BC Premier League home schedule this past Saturday dropping a 2-0 decision to the Whalley Chiefs on a weird weather day that saw showers and hail scattered throughout the game and then a 15 minute hail and rain downpour that left the field unplayable for Game 2.  It will be made up at a later date.  In Game 1, Brett Hull pitched well but took the loss as the Eagles scattered just 5 hits on the day.  For the full story, see the Island Sports News article by Christian J.
