Congratulations to the Carnarvon Rockies who captured the GVBA Mosquito A City Championship yesterday in front of hundreds of fans at Wilf Sadler Memorial Field in Gordon Head.
It was a great baseball game on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. The players were awesome, the coaches were awesome, the umpires did a great job and the fans were loud, boisterous and perfectly well-behaved! It all made for a wonderful afternoon of baseball which I will not soon forget.

A huge THANK YOU to Sheri Yager for all her hard work on the mosquito division this year. GVBA will be seeking a contract extension.
Another huge THANK YOU to Christian Stewart for his superb photos and coverage of the game.
Now that school is coming to an end, it’s time for Triple A Sport Consultants Summer camps! These camps are designed to help build upon your player’s skillset and help them obtain a five tool repertoire(speed, fielding, arm strength, hitting for average and hitting for power). All camps will be lead by GVBA Technical Directors Mitch Davidoff and Jason Gibson. Camps are most suitable and directed towards players 7 – 13 years old. Everyday will be packed with various position specific drills as well as baseball specific mini games which will cover all aspects of the game. We teach players verbally, visually and hands on to ensure the information is retained. The atmosphere is upbeat, fun, and enthusiastic to ensure a positive learning experience. Please ensure your player is equipped with a lunch, water bottle, baseball glove, helmet and bat.

Victoria, BC (ISN) April 8, 2016 – Coming off their best league record in franchise history with 31 wins and the hosting of the 2015 BC Premier Baseball League (BCPBL) Provincials last August, the Victoria Eagles kick-off their 2016 campaign Saturday at Lambrick Park, in the hopes of bettering their 2015 mark and ultimately competing once again for the 2016 BCPBL League Championship.

April 8, 2016: The Victoria Eagles Baseball Club is pleased to announce that it has been asked by the Greater Victoria Baseball Association to operate the two 2016 PeeWee AAA Summer Teams. The Managers of the two PeeWee AAA teams will be selected by the Eagles and the teams will be organized like the other five Eagles high performance teams.
In addition, the 2016 season will see a different format for the two PeeWee AAA teams. In previous years, the two teams have been equal and balanced. However, this year the roster of the Tier 1 PeeWee AAA Black Eagles will be the top 13 players regardless of age. The 13 players chosen for the Tier 2 PeeWee AAA Red Eagles will be exclusively 11 year olds.
The Eagles will be selecting the two Managers of the PeeWee AAA teams in the next week or two. The two Managers will choose their rosters after evaluating the players at three tryouts in early May. The details of the tryouts for the two 2016 PeeWee AAA Summer Teams are as follows:
May 1st, Carnarvon Park 5:00 – 8:00 pm
May 4th, Carnarvon Park 5:00 – 8:00 pm
May 6th, Esquimalt Lions Park 5:00 – 8:00 pm
NOTE: The May 4th location was corrected to Carnarvon (instead of Lions) on April 21.
Players interested in trying out for the PeeWee AAA Red and Black Eagles should attend two of the three camps and must pre-register at http://goo.gl/forms/SZN74MMtgc . Any player unable to attend any of the three camps should contact the PeeWee AAA Coordinator, Carol Ogborne, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is a $20.00 assessment fee which must be paid in cash at the first session a player attends. Players must be at the assessment location by 5:00 pm when they will be checked in and assigned a tryout number. All players must be ready to go shortly thereafter. Any questions can be directed to Carol Ogborne at email@example.com.
