Fresh off their 2013 BCPBL Championship, the Victoria Eagles have announced the format of their 2013 Fall try-outs for the 2014 squads. This year’s Eagles Fall Ball program for Junior Premier, Premier and Midget AAA players will have two components.
The first component is similar to what we have done in previous years. All the Midget age players trying out for the 2014 Eagles Junior Premier, Premier and Midget AAA teams will be placed into one pool and divided into two teams. The two teams will practice twice a week beginning the week of September 9th and ending the week of October 21st. Details of these practices will be posted on the Eagles website. Exhibition games will be played on weekends between the two teams, the Victoria Mariners, the Nanaimo Pirates and the Parksville Royals. Our 2014 coaching staffs will move between the two teams and the practices and games will provide our Managers with the opportunity to assess the participating players. The cost of this part of the Eagles Fall Ball Program is $130. An Eagles t-shirt is included.
The second component of our 2013 Eagles Fall Ball Program will be a series of drop-in clinics run by Eagles Premier Manager Anthony Pluta between September 9th and October 21st. These clinics will focus on different aspects of the game – pitching, hitting, infield, outfield and catching – and are open to all Victoria ballplayers of Bantam age and older. There is a drop-in fee of $25 for each clinic. The times and places of these clinics will be posted on the Eagles website.
