The Greater Victoria Baseball Association and the Victoria Eagles High Performance Organization are pleased to announce that the Premier Eagles and a number of their players have come away with a number of All-Conference and other awards issued at year end by the BC Premier Baseball League.
Leading the way was Tyler Duncan, who was named Top Offensive Player and league Most Valuable Player. Kobe Morris received the Golden Glove Award, while Fynn Chester was named Rookie of the Year.
The Victoria Eagles also were named the Organization of the Year.
A number of players were also named to the First and Second All-Conference Teams as noted below:
First Team: Kobe Morris, Tyler Duncan, Fynn Chester
Second Team: Ethan Skuija
"This is an unbelievably great result that I attribute to a total team effort," said Martin Winstanley, the Victoria Eagles High Performance Committee Chair. Similar congratulations were also offered by GVBA President Fraser Campbell, "This is an incredible achievement by the Coaches, Players and Volunteers of the HPC at GVBA. There are a lot of people who contribute their time and energy to making the Eagles High Performance Program a success, and we would like to thank and congratulate all of you.
